I don't mean to be ugly but I never understood the whole frat thing, to me it was for people who weren't cool enough to make friends on their own or didn't have enough backbone to be themselves.

lol different strokes for different folks. I've got plenty of friends outside greek life, and I'm not exactly limp wristed either. The friends of mine within the fraternity are very very close friends that'll be there for anything. It's really just something that makes those years of college that much more fun.

The funny thing is there Dad's were either in my Dad's pledge class or were in at the same time as he was. My Dad's little brothers son is coming through. How cool would that be If I was his big.

Maybe it was just the Frats at Tarleton, but it was a group of guys that would all try to start problems when they were together but when they were alone you couldn't melt and pour them on somebody. They generally were all the preppy guys in high school that their friends were superficial, so they all joined together in college. I know I have been to several frat parties in Lubbock and never had a problem, and some of my friends from high school are in one of the frats out there.

Seriously? I cant WAIT to get back to college. I'm bored chitless at home working an office job 40 hours a week...most of my friends are out of town or working elsewhere. College cant start back up soon enough!

Now if you live at home to attend school, i can understand where you're coming from.

I live at home to attend school, and I work throughout school. I take it you must not work during school?

I didn't last year but i do have a low-hour job (10-15/week) lined up for this year working for the school's athletic department. Made/making a lot of money this summer, but having a tiny cash inflow during the school year always helps.

I'm heading to the University of Southern California (USC) on the 17th as an incoming freshman, just staying in on campus dorms.

Can't wait for football season

I'm still doing full time job while a full time student. It isn't very fun at all, especially in a town with nothing to do besides work or school.
