I vote for the first wheel. As far as the tires, from my experience the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's tend to "chop out" fairly quickly compared to other Mud tires. However, as long as you keep them rotated you shouldn't have any problems. That may be my favorite tread pattern, but I haven't been sold on the brand yet. Good Luck!

sorry man, I suck at photochops. I agree with Bryce about those MT/R's.

They suck. In the mud/muck they tend to gunk up really quickly and don't self clean that well. Also, the rubber is somewhat soft, so they chunk up when offroad and on the rocks/gravel

Hey, JMT, there are some great chop guys down in the General Discussions forum. I think you'll get a better response there... as such, I'm going to move this one down there... if it dies there, PM me and I'll bounce it back up here...

Firestone Destination M/T
Toyo Open Country M/T
Cooper STT

the 3 above are awesome tires for M/T's. Decent tread life, and they are pretty quiet at highway speeds. Most importantly, they all work way better offroad than the MT/R

Check out Maxxis tires, either the Buckshots or Bighorns. They make some great tires for the money.

wow, that is an awesome price. the best I've seen when pricing out 35" tires so far has been $1,200-1,400 bucks

$825 is amazing.

Go with BF Goodrich mud T/A's... I was getting 80,000 miles out of sets on my ranger. They were decent quiet in the cab too. Not a bad price either. Good looking tire too.
