Tata bought Jaguar and Land Rover. Didn't know about Chrysler.

yah i didnt know tata got chrysler either.....

the ram has had the fully boxed frame since 2002? whenever the 5.9 bodystyle went away.

I think the new ram will be a pretty decent truck and will be interesting to see how the 5 Link rear susp changes the competition. and if the suspension will be able to handle a heavy load and still keep running. The 5 Link from the factory sure is an easy starting point for modding tho

I never see rusted out trucks here unless they have tags from up north.

true, all we see is leaking rear ends on the dodges. and chevies with weak sheet metal that tends to dent faster and easier.

Tata does not own Chrysler. Cerberus owns Chrysler, I even think that Daimler still owns a stake as well. Tata owns Jag and Land rover and Ford is still helping in running the company. There are talks about joint ventures with Jeep and TATA and possibly buying Jeep. Nothing official yet that I have heard..

Land Rover was originally supposed to build the 4.4 Diesel for the 2010 F 150, but Navistar (Power stroke) will be building the new engines, probably due to the sale of Land Rover..

Land Rover doesnt build any of the Petro engines. In the past we've had Buick 4.0/4.6, Jaguar 4.4, BMW 4.4? and i believe the 4.2 SCed engine is Jag also

Im not sure about the diesels who makes them b.c there arent any on the state side. But ive heard nothing but good things about LR's diesels.

I thought Ford broke off with Navistar after they didnt want to build the 6.4TT?

There are talks about breaking up the relationship due to warranty claims from the 6.ohno. Ford is supposedly going to be building their own diesel for 2011, a 6.7 V-8.
