Drving Cross Country
Also, I have a air compressor/jump box that has the 12 volt plug ins on the front. I am thinking of things that I would like to have in the truck to make things more convinent, but money is a factor since alot of money will be spent on fuel.
So then you need to prepare your truck for the trip so you don't take as many parts.
A whole set of tools? No. Basic hand tools and sockets are all you'll need.
2 spare tires? Hell no. If you have a good set of tires on, you shouldn't need a spare tire. Sheet happens, so at least carry a spare.
Spare alternator and water pump? Unless you have reason to think that yours is going out, I'd leave them at home.

make sure a laptop with wireless connection...that way you can leave parts at home and just have all the f150 members locations logged so IF you break down, just call up the nearest member
That is a heck of an idea!! I am taking the laptop anwyay becasue my GPS system is on there lol
listen to your elders lol. hell if you plan it like THAT, you don't have to spend money for rooms if something happens. just have a mini party in each state or something lol..
one goal i did one time was to stop at hooters in each state... just a neat idea (yeah and FUN too lol)

My plan was to stay at a camp ground each night, as this will probably be a 2 week excursion, it should be a good time!! I will see what members from each state can make it to where I am at and have one hell of a good time!!!!
