Speaking of college, how about sitting in front of a computer for hours working on my stepson's financial aid stuff because his lazy ***, good for nothing, non-involved, worthless, broke *** father doesn't want to help the kid out. Now that pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!!! side note - I don't mind helping my stepson get things together, his father and stepmom just **** me off in general.

People that drive through my apartment complex at 40 mph, then get pissed when you tell them to slow down.

I am tired of working. I have had only 2 days off in 49 days and the told me if all went well, they may give me Sunday off. WTF is that !! I am a manager dammit, what happened to my 40 hour work week. Oh that's right. Don't listen to the 1-year employee who RTFM on the operating procedure for the plant. It said YOU MUST HAVE INCONEL on that tubing!! Nope, wth do I know. I only can read and dream how maybe one day my company will promote smart individuals instead of those who continue to strive to show how stupid someone can be. So here we are, 9-months later, spending 20 million more dollars to fix what we already fixed. DING DING DING!! And this is how my daily work life goes. This 70+ hours a week is getting old. I barely have enough time to say hi to the wife.

The only possible good thing I can think of about it that I am paying off my credit card balance which pisses me off even more !!

To top it off, my relief for work was 15 minutes late which caused me to get stuck by a train to delay me getting home by 20 minutes.

I would lie at work and say there is this special flux they make over in Germany that requires a specialized welder to complete the item. Usually my sarcasm gets the best of me at times.

it depends on your definition of welding

from webster online a: to unite (metallic parts) by heating and allowing the metals to flow together or by hammering or compressing with or without previous heating b: to unite (plastics) in a similar manner by heating c: to repair (as an article) by this method d: to produce or create as if by such a process2: to unite or reunite closely or intimately <architecture that welds the past and the present>

as to the first definition cladding can be considered welding

clad·ding
Pronunciation:
\ˈkla-diŋ\
Function:
noun
Date:
1936

: something that covers or overlays; specifically : metal coating bonded to a metal core

cladding is the bonding of Dissimilar metals I.E. iron to aluminum

so in the strictest sense you can weld iron to aluminum

That all the threads I read here end up dissappearing. This will be the next one to fall off the face of the earth.

MOFord where are you from? I'm originally from Fulton...went to college in Warrensburg (CMSU)

Things that are pissing me off today:

-Trying to find any side work that I can because my internship did not turn out to be squat this summer. The only thing I've found lately is working for a carpet cleaner, and even he is slow right now. Mississippi economy sucks, and even if you find a job, it's paying less than minimum wage.

- Dealing with financial aid stuff

-Re-enrolling in graduate-level accounting again because I missed a B last semester by 3 test points....79.3%. Gotta take that 16 week class again.

-Calculated my trucks in town gas milage last week....14 mpg, plus the cab is starting to rust out and look like crap from the 7 salty Missouri winters it went through.

-Trying to figure out why our water & sewer bill jumped from $19 to $80 per month when there have been 2 less people in our house all summer. The meter does not indicate a leak and the city is like "too bad, pay us or we shut you off."

-Other than that, life is good! I did get my new banjo in last week, and I've already got a couple of songs learned.
