Hey guys, back in the day in Mississippi my father had a 1980 black and gold special edition Turbo Trans Am. He bought it in '81 and then sold it when the turbo went out in '85 (for a bonneville, of all things). Anyway, I've always wanted a black trans am ever since i saw Smokey and the Bandit. One day, he and I were watching the movie, and we thought hey, what if we could find his old t/a, buy it back, and restore it?
Well, we have the vin #, but carfax only goes back to '81. A cousin of my father works for the state of Miss., but he's having a hard time finding it. He thinks it might be crushed. I hope not.
So I was wondering if some of you guys, especially the T/A guys could look around, like asking in the Trans Am forums, and see if you could help us locate the car.
