Dale Earnhardt Sr.

So i wanted to check with everyone on here and see what kind of reaction i would get. Since i was a small child i always was a big dale sr. fan. I used to go to alot of races with my grandpaw and dad. Now my grandpaw is an old man and doesnt get out much and my dad just doesnt care for fighting the race crowds. I still go all the time and proudly wear my camo #3 hat. Well ever since i got my truck i have been wanting a sticker on the back glass. I finally found an in memory of dale sr. sticker that i think would look really good on the back window. Seeing how dale sr. and most of his fans were hardcore chevy. What kind of reaction do you think i will get by having the sticker on the back of my ford. I dont want to constantly have people making stupid comments. What do yal think? I know this is crazy but i just really wanted to see what everybody would say.

Personally, I don't like stickers on vehicles. But, it's your truck and if you want one on there, you should not care what anyone else thinks. Do what you like.

You should be fine.. If anyone tried starting stuff with you for having a memorial decal of Big E on there they are plain stupid. There is nothing to fight about anymore like there might have been if he was still racing.

I'm gettin a custom bowyer decal printed up at my work soon. Can't wait to put it on the back of my truck .

Its up to you man. Who gives a chit what other people say ? They give you stupid comment, you give them the finger, and off you go, never to see them again.

I'm with Bluejay, and really don't like stickers on trucks. Heck, I even removed my 4x4 stickers. But it IS your truck, do whatever YOU want.

Oh, and BTW, I was a DIE HARD Big E fan. Went to every Sear's Point race I could, up until he died. I am just now, this season, starting to get back into the sport. Just not the same with out him on the track.

I see quite a few NASCAR window stickers that don't jibe with the make and model of car the fan is driving, so I guess you wouldn't be the only one to do it.

Personally, I think it's odd that a Ford guy would give a rip about what happened to a Chevy guy on Sunday except for getting a beatdown, but that's just me.

On another level, I despise the Green Bay Packers with every drop of blood coursing through my veins. Even though I will admit that Brett Favre was a great quarterback, he was still a Green Bay Packer, which means that (by default) I despise him as a player. As such, I could never comprehend putting anything on my car that "propped" Brett Favre because in my world, the only thing that should happen to a Green Bay Packer is pain and misery.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that as a Ford guy, I couldn't imagine putting anything on my truck that was so directly tied to "Chevrolet".....

Good point, but if your a Big E fan, you didn't care what he was driving, heck a Jeep woulda been fine, as long as he was on the track. I don't root for the brand of car the driver drives, rather the actual athlete, the driver. I liked Dale, don't care if he was sponored by GM, Yota, Subaru, or Viagra, still woulda had his back !

I liked ole Dale myself, he was Nascar and you would have never thought that he would have died the way he did. I remember when one of my friends called me and told me that he was killed in a accident, i just did not belive it. I was watching that race and I fell asleep and got the news that night, i just did not belive him till I put on the news.

But as far a stickers go, put it on, nobody is going to do anything, and if they do who cares. I had a Hendrick sticker on My LX 5.0 and nobody ever said anything to me about it. I mean you see Honda's and Toyota's with Nascar stickers, even before Toyota was in. But besides all that, those cars on the track have nothing to do with the manufacture anyway. All those cars on the track are all mostly FWD and 6 cylinders anyway..

I have had the Dale Sr. Legacy sticker with the angel wings on the back window of my Lightning ever since the accident. I have never had anyone make a negative comment about it. Nascar is just not the same for me anymore. He was the man

All you are in support of the man and his memory not what he drove. I'm a Dale Earnhardt JR fan and also a Tony Stewart fan. I don't like their car manufactures but I root for them and their teams who work so hard to make my drivers cars capable of competing.
