Did it just not work or didnt fit? I know the ram in those has the slot on a weird spot and I've only seen a couple sticks that actually fit.

I actually have always been told the video card and most of the internals on laptops were non replaceable. I may have to look into replacing my video card. I did the HDD upgrade (120 Gig 7200 RPM) and a ram upgrade last year and it helped a lot.

I want to play Spore on my laptop if I can get it up to spec and a real video card would help tremendously.

not sure if this will help but....

I checked reciepts and this is the ram I bought that worked. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Tpk=20-141-209

I have heard stuff about ram not fitting in just right and such, but I am sure you have already done the troubleshooting to get it in properly, so I don't know.
