Stop being pussies

I'll be in Kuwait next week where it will be about 120 degrees or so.
Coming back to Houston and the low 90's will be luxury

That is true, but we are not so much complaining about Houston because of the high temps. I just think Houston in no way reflects the attitude and beauty of Texas. Im ashamed to say I live in Houston, but very proud to say I live in Texas

I find the color choice that resembles burning flesh for the Texas area a great idea

You guys with the higher numbers don't factor in the humidity. You have much drier heat that is more tolerant. You can't imagine what 95 in Houston is like when there is 85 % humidity. Hard to breathe.

Pussies . My job is outside. In the sun. 110-120 degrees is typical. Hottest I've ever worked in was 124. But I'm not bitching about it. I went to Texas one summer and it's not as bad as Arizona.

I talked to a soldier last week who has been in Iraq and he said the humidity and 90 degree temps here in Tennessee are far worse than the 110-120 degrees in Iraq.

We can gripe and compare all day.
My bitch is , The wind never blows here in this river delta unless it is a thunderstorm. My visits everywhere i've been, there is always a breeze blowing. But yea, Texas is a hot moma.

The last time I was in Monterey Ca. was September about 3 years ago, They where having a heat wave [elnina] September upper 90s, no one had A/C We were staying at the Doubletree Monterey and it was 90" in the room. Just my luck.

My dad is the same with a blue jeans pants and long sleeve shirt dresscode.

No wind really in Az either. And I have had family from back east in humid climates beg to go back to 105 with 90% humidity than stay here with 118 and 10% humidity. It is a dry heat ya, and you win with humidity. But the dry heats wins. Even my canadian buddy used to get 102 And 80% humidity, his first day here he almost died. He was complaining the whole time. I laughed alot though
