Liberalism---Its Catching! Its Contagious!

A judge in a Gitmo Trial has disallowed testimony! (Must be something in the water!)

WOW!!! Keep in mind that this is no panty-waiste, bleeding-heart, dyed-in-the-wool liberal, this judge is a CAPTAIN IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY!!!

OMG! Is the military going soft on us?

I'm about as conservative as it gets, but you can't use evidence gained through harsh interrogation methods in a trial. I'm not against harsh interrogation to stop furture terrorist acts (for example, I have no problem with at least 2 of the 3 guys waterboarded by the CIA) but that shouldn't be admissable at a trial.

Perhaps in the United States, but most of the rest of the world is becoming more conservative. Liberalism has already failed in other places. I guess a majority of people here want to be failures too. A majority rules.

They needed to be treated justly, we can't stoop to their level otherwise we're just as bad, if not worse.
We probably have a different opinion here. I think the proposed military tribunals meet the requirement of a trial for a suspect captured on the battlefield. I still don't think non-uniformed combatants should be allowed access to the normal court system. It isn't like a soldier is going to be gathering evidence in a firefight!

Edit: One of the major problems is that we can't do anything with the suspects. The military can't try them, we don't have the evidence for civilian courts (see above), and no country will accept them back. What should we do? Execute them as spies?
