came across this video again today and thought i would share

 

good find, and I agree hot rods seem to have gone from flat painted lite-weight cars with ginormous engines shoehorned into the frame rails into who has the prettiest shell around a 350 chevy and it saddens me.

 

i am going to keep that video around for when i cant sleep.

 

i guess us ford guys understand that a 350 chevy isnt unique

now those are hot rods chopped channeled no interior flat paint hand pinstriped (which I would give up my right nut to be able to do) intake stacks and shotgun exhaust I'll take em over the easter egg cars any day

slick what size engine is that

 

156cuin about 300hp, not sure on exact hp as its still being built, its a motor out of a midget race car, which used to run on methanol but i had the compression cut down from 16.5:1 to 12:1 to run on pump gas and had a custom ground cam to bring the power into the lower rpms (i ran this motor at 9000rpm in the midget, it would last 1 year) o and it was making over 350hp so im hoping its still around 300

 

nice I think if this new job pans out I'll be looking for a project car always wanted a 54 ish crestline or 55 merc montclair or a 48 business coupe something along those lines

 

Hudson hornet baby!! I WILL have a nice paint job.. I love to paint. And it will be decked out. Air bags and all. It will still be a hot rod in my opinion.
