Trip to the Farm-Pics
That's nice -- close enough to Tyler that if you build out that way you still can have access to some decent restaurants or a movie theater, and can even take a quick daytrip back into DFW if you need to.
It's my wife's old homestead that was divided between kids. We have 30 acres as does a sister-in-law and my brother-in-law, so 90 in all. Plus, we are trying to buy adjacent property. My brother-in-law already has his home there and runs some cows. We let him use our pasture and he keeps the fences up. If you go to the link, you will see some of the cattle and the pastures.

Yep, 2 hours from currrent home just South of Fort Worth. It's about 20 minutes to Athens and about 20 to Tyler. Tyler is population of 80,000 or so.

Thanks! Unbelieveably Quiet, except when my "john Wayne" brother-in-law is talking.
He doesn't talk a lot, but when he does, I listen. He is a great guy!

I avoid the loop around Athens, don't want to run over any refrigerator parts.

Thanks! I love it out there! My B-I-L is having trouble keeping it mowed. I want to go over and run his John Deere some.

I hate you Blue... I want a hundred acres so bad. Hunting, fishing, and the seclusion from neighbors.
I know this may sound bad, but as soon as my granddad passes away, I will buy the land. The front gate will have his name on it, and I shall call it Woulard ranch.
