Motor cycle riders observation

Here in CT we don’t have a helmet law. But I noticed this funny occurrence. Just about ever cruiser has nice thick riding boots, jeans and some times leathers, leather riding jacket and gloves, but no helmet. The sport bike riders I see sneakers or sandals, shorts, tee-shirt, no gloves but wearing a helmet.

Funny, its just the opposite around here in DFW. The sport guys get suited up, and I wear flip-flops and shorts

It's because the cruiser is the **** jewelry for the cruiser rider. More bling bling (chrome) and the louder pipes the better. It's all about showing off the bike.

For the sport bike crowd the helmet is the fashion accessory/status symbol. The sport biker that wears the $700 Shoei helment with wild paint is clearly the coolest.
