Thought I would post an update. I haven't gotten any new ones too recently, but since I just took a new pic I thought I would update it. The display is really dusty right now. One of these days I need to go through it, and individually clean em all and take separate pics.

Cool to see the progress since last time I posted the display. I'll be getting 3 in the next month or so. I preordered the 09 Jeff Gordon one back when it was first announced on QVC. I also will be getting Bowyer's new 33 and Johnson's new 48.

No new Nascar Diecast here but the DM, FM, WCPD collection is growing. Just got my 56' Packard Carrabiean last week. I'll post some pics of it when I open it (probably today). Here's my black Impala collection

Some more of my Nascar collection

It's a good hobby to get into, I know I've scooped up a few roundy round cars like Ricky Rudd for like 4.99 and I want to start collecting more. I usually collect John Force 1:24's, got a bunch signed and a few signed in person while at Norwalk. Him and his lovely daughter.

Very cool johnnyd. I would love to get into the classic car diecast collecting, but the demand and price is going up in that section of diecast collecting. Plus, I don't have the room for those .

Thanks JB. I'm out of room too. I think I'm going to pack up my Nascar and just display the classics for a while.

Finding a place to display them is always the problem. I collect all types of diecast, but I specialize in Bill Elliott. I finally decided to try and document everything, so I took some pics and gave them their own website...

I have a couple of them .. and several NHRA diecasts, my favorite of which is an autographed 1/16 scale of Ron Capp's Brut Funny Car, which you can see in this photo.

I collect tons of stuff (crap, my loving wifey calls most of it, lol), but one of the things I am most serious about is my Hess Truck Collection. I have 29 of them, including every year from 1982 forward. here is a couple of shots of most of them.

When I was a little kid in New Jersey, probably 35 years ago, my parents would get me Hess trucks at the Hess station. I don't remember if it was a promotional deal that came with a fill-up, or if they paid for them separately, but I had 3 or 4 back then. I have no idea what ever happened to them. lol.

mine are all of the Christmas trucks .. they go on sell mid november, and are usually sold out by Christmas day.

Hess has tons of trucks that they sell at the stations, smaller matchbox sized, etc. there are people that collect those also, but I don't know a lot about them. I like the large ones .. they all have working lights, some have sound .. pretty cool trucks.

I also have the two Jeff Gordon Star Wars diecast. from episode I and II. wish they would have done one for Episode III

And a couple more...

I've got several hundred in my Bill Elliott collection, but they're on my BillElliottDiecast website.

As of today. The latest is the 2009 Jeff Gordon on the top shelf on the little stand.

Will soon be getting the 2009 cars of Bowyer, Johnson, and Burton.
