Power Outage, entertain me darn it!!

Crap... I guess with all this crazy **** weather it would finally happen. Massive storm rolled through and lightning fried a bunch of stuff apparently. No power in my ghettoriffic neighborhood. Still storming out so I'm not going out to the garage to fire up the gen... nothing left to do but harass people online, and spank it to Internet **** of course.

I ask you, how the hell did we survive before all this technological wonder? My god growing up in anything before 1960 must have really sucked. Seems that's when all the fun started to happen. I would also never have made it during the depression, civil war era and anything prior.

My plasma TV is dark, no PS3 and cable modem to play CoD4 with a friend... no DVR... no lights to read... screw candles...

Hmmmm... I do have that air rifle under my bed. Nothing around to shoot though, everything headed for the hills!

Thus far failblog.org is keeping me laughing. Can't believe I didn't know about that site prior to the Fail Pic thread.

Yeah, laptop with monster battery + Cellular Internet = happy D (for about 5-6 hours until battery runs out, then I have to get my lazy *** out to the garage and start that gen).

Ok, gen is up an running. Couldn't stand the though of my Monster & Beer getting warm in the fridge. No power conditioner around so I can't hook up the TV... *sigh*

EDIT: Damn that thing (gen) is loud. 16HP of near 10KW (peak, 7.5KW continuous) generating fun!
