hey everyone, I ordered this D ring for my receiver and got it in the mail but was stupid and did not even think about the part not being long enough to fit into my receiver so I could be able to put the pin through it.

Thats the link to the receiver hitch and D ring that I ordered. Is there anyone to buy the longer receiver part or am I just SOL?

thats weird i always thought that it was a pretty standard for that kinda stuff to line up

 

as did i.... thats why i didn't really bother to think before i ordered it. do you think it would be worth drilling a new hole for it so i can place a pin through it?

 

so can I try and drill a new hole that is closer to the opening of the receiver? or would that just be a bad idea? any ideas anyone?
