Is A/C really needed in MO?
It gets hotter here in the summer than in Florida, sonny. We had a 10 day stretch last summer where it got over 100 every day. He has it just as bad, if not worse, up in St. Louis.

Beaters, especially high gas mileage ones, don't count. It could be a turd with 4 wheels and as long as it gets good gas mileage, starts when you hit the key, and gets you where you need to go that's all you need for 350 bucks. Come to think of it - there's not much difference between a Cavalier and a turd................

That's one of the dumbest sounding innovations I have heard of. Sort of a diposable engine, I guess.

Yeah, whatever... It was hot for 10 days - try 6 months of 90*+ with 60%+ humidity, even at 3:00AM !!

Add in sunlight that is approximately 25% more intense than you get in MO and you'll see that heat is a factor of more than just a thermometer reading.

It's like that EVERY DAY from late April / early May until Late October / early November.

Of course, if we're lucky enough to get a hurricane, we get a couple of days of temps in the 80's...

I have traveled extensively all over the US for the last 20 years - I know it gets hot all over, but I have to laugh when I hear someone try to compare the heat & humidity where ever to Florida... except for Louisiana & Houston - it sucks there too !!

obviously neither of you have experienced a good AZ monsoon season

as far as sun intensity when in yuma AZ look to your left and there will be a little guy with red all over horns and a pitchfork he will look at you and say "dont worry its nice and cool down here at least its in the shade"

now if you want to talk consecutive days over 100 we will go 37-39 days straight and I think phoenix has us beat by another 5-10 days add to that during monsoon season 70-80-90% humidity is not uncommon and once I think in 1987 we hit the double triple 100% humidity and the temp scraped 101 that was a miserable day

I dont HATE chevy's, there just not my first choice. But hey...$350 dollars an great gas mileage...I would buy it in a heart beat. You'll earn that money right back probably within a month of getting 3x the gas mileage your truck gets. Nice little ride man
Actually, my truck is getting 18 MPG regularly... I'm not expecting miracles here from this, but the $120 weekly fill ups really sucked. If I get 30 MPG the car will pay for itself in a month.

Yesterday it was 95* with 90% humidity. Yes, A/C is needed. I wasn't going to buy a car without it. I can't show up to work every morning soaking wet with sweat.

Haha... The Cavi is a big joke now. Anytime anyone mentions money, I complain about how poor I am and to look at what I drive...

Add all of the above together and take out a steady breeze and you have South Arkansas. I live in the river valley, surrounded by trees. Not much upper level wind makes it here untill tornado season.
