some blasts from the past

http://gizmodo.com/5018990/lego-secr...-history&green

just found this and thought it was kinda cool legos were always some of my favorites the deal with my dad was if I could make the thing o n the box in less than two hours without the instructions I got to get another set a week later was pretty good at it too until he bought me the Indy car model that took awhile and I had to look at the directions a couple of times

Great find. Boy did that bring back some memories. The space station and space ship ones were my favorite.

I also had the electronic car ones for the older kids, but I was dissapointed a little with them because I expected them to go a lot faster. Legos were and still are the best. I can't wait to get my 1 year old son into them when he gets a little older.

My childhood predates electricity.
Legos in my day was a bag of rocks.
I tried to make stuff but, they wouldn't stick together.

Lincoln Logs were the best.

I have so many legos in storage somewhere. My favorite kit was probably my space shuttle one that was about two feet long and fully automated, there were alot of gears in that. In one of my classes in HS a two week long project was on pneumatic legos.

I still have that kit!! I have a giant box with all my lego kits. I think last count I had around 10000 bricks. I have been wanting to ship them out from my folks house in Maryland so i can get back into lego.

yah im actually bringing my legos home from my parents house this weekend. Ive got a tub of them about 3x3x4' and several other organised trays of them. I still have all the instruction manuals for all the sets i had....

I guess ill take some pics of my little collection when i get back to them.

I wish legos didnt get all gay with the robot technics, and all that other new crap. You can't reuse the pieces in those special sets. My favorite thing was making my own cars and trucks out of several sets.

Man, I loved Legos. I ended up donating them to a kid who's house caught on fire and he didn't have anything.

The only thing better than Lincoln Logs, were ice cream sticks and glue. I made some good stuff with those as a kid.

There is a LEGO store in downtown Disney in Orlando. They have just about any lego's you can imagine.
