NASCAR needs a change

I think NASCAR needs a major overhaul, on the way it's run, on the cars, on the tracks, and the general overall appearance. i used to be able to sit and watch an entire race, but now, i watch a few minutes, then turn it off until the last few laps.

Anyone else think NASCAR needs change? Let's hear some ideas, what would you like to see in the future?

Hell yeah . I want the cars to resemble their real-life counterparts more. I do not want it to turn into an iroc series where nobody can do anything about their cars, while i do not want to see the asians who are really good at math get further along just because they have more technology. I say FOX gets the coverage all year. Let's bring the sport back to its roots down south and get some CUP races at tracks like kentucky or milwaukuee, while getting one at montreal but not mexico. Stop bringing euro drivers in to get nowhere and bring up rising starts from the GNS series. Make a rule so that after 3 years of cup racing you can no longer race in the GNS series. i have many others right now just cant think of them.

I do the same thing. It gets boring after awhile. They need to go back to factory run modified "stock cars". I bet if someone were able to start a series of races with this type set up, it would be instant sucess.

It won't be NASCAR to me, until they go back to racing cars you can buy off the dealer's lot. Those were the days. I'm not holding my breath for that though.

Great minds think alike.

Apparently, so do ours.

True dat!
And I wanna see a rule where it's like real driving. Where the drivers have to talk on cell phone, or at least eat a ham biscuit.

So, you want to combine "stock cars" with "everyday drivers".

Speaking of eating behind the wheel. As a truck driver, I have seen fat people driving down the road with tupperware, and open aluminum foil wrappers, covering the passenger seat, while they enjoy what appears to be a holiday meal and doing 85 mph past me on the Interstate.... Ham biscuit eaters are OK with me.

You want to take the "boring" out of it?
Add the driver's wife or signifcant other to the passenger seat.
All the while telling them to 'SLOW DOWN!" while they're trying to win the race.

They'd start having mother-in-law seats, in place of trunks.
Now THAT would be a race worth watching!

I will take the ham and bisquit eaters anyday. I was on the freeway leaving Dallas one day in fairly heavy traffic. There was a car in front of me that kept changing speeds and weaving. When I was finally able to get around her, she had a book propped open on the steering wheel and was reading. That one blew my mind.

if you guys want to see racing where it is factory bought cars ill stand at the raintree over pass on the 101 in az with a camera its like the starting line because of the photo radar we have after everyone passes it, its green flag racing

but honestly there are tons of races that are factory cars, just go out to your local short track or drag strip on a friday night
