I don't have a problem with a politician changing his mind and changing positions. In fact that is desirable, because things change, and require different actions. You don't want a leader that says, "that has always been my position and I will not be swayed". It's just when they change positions to fit the occasion, without any explanation and act as if that was where they always stood, that bothers me. These are the guys that no one has an idea who they really are, and unfortunately that is most of them.

They are a voice of the American people and the needs of the American people. It is within reason to assume that the needs of the people, economy & the world would change as time goes by. To keep pace they also must change opinions and goals, I just would prefer it be small adjustments forced by changes in the lives of the American people and not the personal agenda of those in office
