Sea Doos

I'm looking at a used ski. It's a 97 GSX. 785cc 110hp. The owners said it runs fine, but the gauges don't work. They said they just didn't use it much. Are gauges an easy thing to fix? Or should I steer clear?

And while I'm looking up specs, can anyone tell me if it has adjustable trim, or reverse??

Do your homework and check out www.pwctoday.com. It'll answer any question you have about your ski. Tons of info on that site.

Before you buy, ride it for a while. Check the engine's compression and bilge area for oil or leaks. Look at the plugs and ask if they winterized it since the last time they used it.

Older skis have alot of use, just make sure you don't get one that has been beat up or it'll cost you. See if the seller will let you take them home and do your own investigation. I did before I bought my Tigersharks.
