I got miranda lambert's crazy ex-girlfriend cd last week n i have to admit "Dry Town" is pretty damn catchy.

its a live version but still good. I like miranda lambert. She's actually country, and won't turn pop like Taylor Swift will in a year.

I agree and she isnt bad to look at either!

She is from a small town not to far from where i live. If you go through there they have a sign that says its her home town.

I think its the most intelligent form of music..its more of poetry than anything..

Also, im not talking about that **** you hear on the radio from soulja boy..

If you listen to the words you will understand.. here ill type out some of the metaphors and such im talking about in Fabolous' verse in the second song..

Your goddamn right I'm feeling myself
A chauffeur no sir, I'm wheeling myself
Looking for a chick chilling for self
So I can show her the suicides(doors) and talk her into killing herself
...
And twenty dime bitches, to show y'all *****z how my two dollars look
....
The boy's got at least six digits on
So the guns gotta be at least midget long
The money, is like ten bridges long
I throw bread around just to turn pigeons on (double meaning, ever throw bread and watch the birds flock?..also bread=money, pigeons=girls)
...
And the *****z in the hood keep quoting my lines
I don't jump ship I keep floatin in mine

but to each his own..

Alot of rap music preaches killing, rape, stealing, being "hard/tough", punking others, being disrespectful, all that stuff, and people love it and then continue to live by it. I think it horrible.

They aren't musicians, they are thugs. They make this money from producing records, and what do they do with it? Instead of helping charities or kids like most musicians would, they go buy drugs, pay for their "paparazzi " or club members to stay in expensive hotels, gamble, fight, get hookers, etc. Is that setting a good example to America's youth? I think not. Even if the lyrics are intelligent, look what they preach? You want your kids listening to that stuff and taking it seriously? Just listen to the way they talk on camera/interviewing...A lot of them hate on each other, try to out "diss" the other. Every heard a country or rock singer do that to each other?? It blows my mind.

"And twenty dime bitches, to show y'all *****z how my two dollars look"
(I understand that doime bitches are girls that are 10's but why does he want to show the *****z how his 2 dollars look?)

The boy's got at least six digits on
So the guns gotta be at least midget long

(Six digits on what? Is he saying digits as fingers? and the gun has to be about 3ft(guess as to the hieght of a midget)?)

I've been listening to a lot of blues lately. It all starts and ends with the blues.

Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee and Earl Hooker, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Buddy Guy, Elmore James, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Reed, Guitar Slim, Albert Collins, Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Hubert Sumlin, Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan, and a slew of others.

Most modern music today is disappointing.

Most music today sucks, but I love Pearl Jam. Mike McCready is rad.

In the third song he says:
I'm married to the streets, This is my recital right
I got the phantom drop dressed up bridal white
You kno them doors is suicidal right
Sorta like they slit ya wrists wen I try sit ya miss
...
Real delicate, I just call her china set
Fendi Fur, Gucci Gators, Guess she like designer pets

Some wutang is good but the rap i enjoy is tech n9ne and lil wayne. Tech n9ne is not so much hoe this and *****s that but it has more meaning even thos thoes words tend to pop up every so often. Other then that i listen to some r&B but mostly country.

And yeah, I agree for the most part, rap is garbage. How many *****s some dude shot, how many hoes some dude got, how much dope some dude's dealt. I don't wanna listen to that junk, and it's a travesty to call it "music."

I don't really care for the modern pop garbage Nashville's trying to pass off as country today, but I like Brad Paisley. He's a helluva guitar player.
