In the Denver area Gas is more expensive than milk by about a buck.

I hate to say it but America is fueled by gasoline and oil. It is becoming a matter of national security. Those with the oil will be in control very soon. LETS DRILL! every where that we think there is oil. Hell, China, in cooperation with cuba is drilling oil 90 miles off of floridas coast.

If we drilled in Alaska gas prices would probably go down to about 2.50 again. But...noo..the goverment is making to much money on the high gas price taxes...

I say start drilling. It should be able to be done where it protects the environment and creates more jobs.

Wrong, Predictions are about 5 CENTS per gallon saved... This is because the oil is put on the World Market and sold to the highest Bidder...

Fly southwest. No extra charges.

The demand is going down for gasoline and inturn this will make the price go down.

Asian countries used to subsidize their gas for the people of their countries. They are no longer able to do this and the prices are sky rocketing over there worse than here now. The demand is slowly dropping for oil. Once a surplus is accumulated the prices will have to drop in order to get rid of the surplus. Its simple economics. Dont worry people the price for gas will drop within the next 5-6 months. I have been doing a lot of reading on this subject.

World demand is going up like Crazy as China and India become industrialized and their Middle Class Grows (wanting more cars).

It's true, Demand for Gas Has gone down in the US. But Oil is sold on the World market to the highest bidder. World wide demand is going up like crazy.

See the thread about how the US exports 1.8 million barrels a Day of Gas, Crude, and other pretroleum products...

according to the liberal gas bags who think there is only a little bit of oil. the geologists and what not who know there is a shat load of oil on the north slope
estimate a overall price drop of closer to 1.00$ a gal again we have to look at transportation costs oil is not magically transported from the middle east to the U S, its put on tankers great big 50 mil$ tankers that burn thousands of gal of fuel (that comes from oil) every trip I have seen as high as 39$ in the price of a barrel to ship it and heres what makes sense if the cost of oil goes up the shipping cost of same oil goes up so if we domestically produce oil and that brings down the cost of a barrel say $20 that does not translate to $0.05
a gal.
