Obama's horrible voting record
Obama's horrible voting record
In the last 500 Senate votes dating back to September 2006, Barack has skipped out on 40% of them. 40%!?!?! This guy is a first term Senator and he hasn’t even proven he could do this job correctly let alone run a country. I know if I only completed 60% of my work I’d probably be fired. Since he decided to skip out on 40% of the Senate votes, he missed key votes such as a bill (Vote 284) to amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002, in order to implement the recommendations made by the 9/11 commission. This bill also outlined details regarding the detention and treatment of captured terrorists. Too bad Barack decided that this wasn’t important enough to vote on.
Obama has a history of dodging his obligations as a public servant due to tough votes. In a New York Times article on December 20, it was reported that Obama often voted just “present” in the Illinois Senate. They write:
“In 1999, Barack Obama was faced with a difficult vote in the Illinois legislature — to support a bill that would let some juveniles be tried as adults, a position that risked drawing fire from African-Americans, or to oppose it, possibly undermining his image as a tough-on-crime moderate. In the end, Mr. Obama chose neither to vote for nor against the bill. He voted “present,” effectively sidestepping the issue, an option he invoked nearly 130 times as a state senator.”
Interesting. So he skipped out on 130 votes as an Illinois state senator and nearly 40% of votes during his unfinished tenure as a United States Senator. What is he going to do when faced with a tough issue as President? He can’t simply vote present or not show up at all. He’s playing politics, so he can not be questioned on tough votes that may or may not have a negative impact. That’s not what I call leadership.

No
"It’s also worth pointing out, however, that Maj. Leader Harry Reid (NV), a Democrat, sets the agenda. In fact, today he delayed the equal pay vote to later in the day, which gives both Clinton and Obama time to return from campaigning in Indiana."
I guess they are both bad at doing their present jobs. Ironically Hillary is showing up to work the most out of all three. You going to vote for Hillary? Obama performed poorly as a Illinois State senator also. And it isnt the amount of times he skipped out on voting the real problem is the topics he skipped voting on. All the topics are important ones that he doesnt want to be part of. But if you read this... http://barackobamasucks.net/ ....you will see many reasons why Obama is the wrong guy for the job. Obama's character is a lot more questionable than McCains.
