Just got my own personal ScanGauge!

AND I LOVE IT!!!!!

I got mine yesterday and spent a good amount of time playing with it. I currently am running MPG/Water temp/Trans temp and Intake air temp. I also did the HP one and saw 242 (I think) at one point. I know the HP is not really accurate, but I figure its a good way to gauge improvements and to use as a baseline for my own needs.

I mounted it with some velcro, but the adhesive is not sticking too well with the heat being out in the sun. I am going to make an aluminum bracket to epoxy to the window, then use velcro to attach the ScanGauge to the bracket.

I HIGHLY recommend getting the ScanGauge and I have already began adjusting my driving to achieve better MPG. It is amazing how much difference there is by just lifting off the throttle a bit.

Let me know if you have any questions

Alon

I see people talking about them all the time, just curious about what exactly they do? Also, can it be used on other vehicles?

It monitors many of the trucks Vitals, also calculates your real time MPG, reads and clears check engine lights and data trouble codes (DTC).

It can be use on MOST vehicles from 96 on that have OBD2

Alon great job on the install. How did you route the wires? Would you mind posting a couple pictures as I would love to do something similar with mine.

The wire goes up behind where the OHC console is and just tucked away in the headliner, down the A pillar, through the fuse panel on the side and down to the obd2.

Keep in mind I have a ranger, so it might be slightly different.

.......Anyone notice the OHC...its from an explorer, they never came in the rangers!

Yeah, I like that... I've been wanting an OHC in my truck... not with the temp or compass... just someplace to store more junk to forget about...

Looks nice, nonetheless.

I installed mine 5 days ago and I love it!! Especially like seeing the miles left in the tank on the trip option. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
