I traded a 05 Navigator in for a 05 Mercury Montego Premier. The navigator was taking a huge bite out of my wallet every week in gas.

I don't know how many of you have owned or know much about the Ford 500 or the Montego, but I am very impressed with the quility of them. The one I have is the premier package AWD and averaged about 33mpg on the highway! Much better then my navigator that averaged 13mpg.

I didn't want to drop in a car after I owned nothing but SUV's and trucks, but with todays prices on gas I had too. I'm glad I was able to get in a Ford car and be happy with there cars.

 

those are nice cars, supprisingly fun too. my grandpa who fixes and sells wrecked vehicles had one and i used it while i was in town, gotta say it was a nice car.

 

I also bought a gas saver a few weeks ago. It's a 01 Ford Excort ZX2. I ran across it with only 44k miles and is in mint condition. I calculated the mileage last week and it's getting 34 mpg. I was shocked when it only took $38 to fill it up at $3.99. This is great since it takes a little over $100 to fill my truck up. Granted, I'm keeping the 150 since I still need it to pull my boats and trailers, but it will be sitting until I need it....covered up. What a shame.

 

Did you lose any money on the trade? The Montegos are pretty sweet, with the standard HID's. Not too bad performance wise either, 203hp with a CVT.
