I'm interested in buying an FX2 Supercrew , just wondering if anyone has had any issues with them and what kind of milage your getting out of them on the hiway?

I have a supercab but it's got a 6.5' bed so I'd guess they're about the same length and weight as a supercrew with a 5.5' bed.

If I'm lucky I get 15-17MPG driving purely on the highway, which I rarely do. I get 13MPG around town, mostly city driving. I'm just being brutally honest here.

i also have an 07 supercab with a 6.5' bed.

im so glad i bought the truck.
summer time on interstate i can get 17, but in town i average around 14-15.

strangely enough, i started using E85 and my milage only drops by 1 mgp.

Thanks for the response guy's. What engine do you have in the trucks? I have a 1997 F-150 XL with the 4.6L V8 and I've gotten as much as 27 mph/gal on the hwy.
How do you find the ride in the FX2? I test drove an FX4 and actually found it pretty choppy and rigid on the hiway. I love the look of the FX2 though. I'm from Canada and it seems to be quite difficult to find an FX2 up here unless you special order one. Just want to make sure I'm making the right move if I do end up special ordering one.

I have an '07 FX2 that only has 4200 miles on it still. It's a Supercab/6.5 with the 20" wheels. I love the way it runs and rides. I can manage about 16mpg but usually about 14-15. I specifically went looking for an FX2 when I bought it and there happened to only be 2 in the whole city at the time and both were at the same dealer about 10 miles from my house.

the fx2 is basically like any other 2wd truck.
however my dad has an 05 fx4 supercrew and i can definently tell a difference in ride. his almost feel smother but mine feels like it has more power and the steering feels looser. i dont know if thats just b/c of the individual truck or b/c his is a 4wd.

I don't have an '07 Fx2 so I can't help you there. I just wanted to say to the site!

I have the 5.4L engine, I can't really comment on the stock ride characteristics because I don't remember. I'm lowered a lot with extensive mods so the ride is a lot different. The FX2 is a great 2WD truck though, I haven't had any problems with mine.

I have the 5.4 FX2 with oem 20's and mine is pure stock except for the Hella LED tails. I love it, no complaints at all. I dont drive it much or should I say at all. I bought to tow my toys and I dont ride my toys often so.

Keep in mind that the new body style, 04+ F150s are much larger and much heavier which contributes to poor gas mileage. I was able to get about 20 mpg on the highway with my 2006 F150 5.4L 4WD Supercrew going 70 mph for a while so I think that's pretty good. Being 2WD might give you a little bit better gas mileage.

The FX4 is pretty choppy because it's got shocks that are geared towards offroad performance even though they don't even ride that good offroad. I'd imagine that the FX2 probably rides like any other model including the Lariat, which is what I had, so it should ride pretty nice.

I've taken a SuperCrew XLT for a ride and it rode pretty nice, so I'm thinking your right , it's just the offroad shocks in the truck that make it a bit choppy on the road.
ThumperMX ! I'm guessing your into Motocross? Actually that was another reason why I was thinking of the FX2. It's a little lower and easier to load the bike into the box.
20 MPG with a 4x4 sounds pretty good.

Thanks for the feed back.

Good luck with that. Best my old truck ever saw (06 XLT 4x4 Supercab) was 18 highway. You're talking about a heavier SuperCrew.
