so what do you do with a beginner bike? you learn to ride it. learn to drop it. learn to fix it and then sell it to the next guy who wants to learn. you get back all your money and you have a great experience. almsot forgot then you get the next bike, fancy and fast.

at least he's geting into riding which is a great thing.

Its safer to learn on a POS bike but its a myth that a new rider needs to learn on a small bike. I have known many people that learned on liter bikes and did just find. Its not the bike that kills people its the person riding it.

it's not safer to learn on a POS it's cheaper and less hurtful to your mind when you dump it or drop it.

learning on a litre bike can be done sure, i know a few people who have and after three years still have 2 inch chicken strips because the thing scares the **** out of them in the corners. looks good at the local hangout though.

For some f*ing reason i see it all the time and got stuck with it. I get sent alot of those "Motivational Posters" to my email. And yes i guess it wasnt the best comparison, but i was attempting to get at the fact that he doesnt need to have an underpowered motorcyle to learn how to ride a "decent" one. Much like you dont have to learn to drive a miata in order to drive a mustang. You bunch of pussie* think you have to take baby steps for everything. Wah Wah Wah...
