So, the 29'er addiction has gotten you too? Haha, there is nothing wrong with that, they are very smooth bikes out on the trail.
GF and Specialized both make nice bicycles. I have owned several bikes from boh companies. The warranties are very similar for all bike manufacturers, so it comes down mostly to what bike you like more, or what bike shop you like better.
Okay, now an answer to the question:
Which bike do you like better? If you have ridden both bikes, go ride both of them again for a longer ride and see if one of them 'speaks to you'. If you are still undecided, try out a few other brands and see if maybe you like them better. If after all is said and done and you can't decide which one to buy, see which one you can get cheaper, or which bike shop you like better if they are from different stores.
Here is my little plug (just to show you that I am indeed a rider, and not just some internet know-it-all
)

Thanks for the info.
I picked up a specialized rock hopper 29er last night.
I rode it around in the back of the store for about an hour. That and a gary fisher x-caliber. The rock hopper just felt more comfortable.
Man those 29er's are nice you can roll up to damn near anything and with little to no effort you roll right over it.
Thanks again for your help
