Sweet!

Did you put any new speakers/subs in with the AVIC-D3?

Now if you could create a self-closing tailgate, that'd be something cool!

Well as of right now my truck has the audiophile package. I plan on upgrading the rest soon but I bought a flex polisher instead of speakers for right now. Its funny you say that about the closeing tailgate idea. I am currently designing a system using an electric acutator to raise and lower it. I am in the middle of drawing the brackets to send to the plasma cutter right now. I love having acess to cnc machining, sometimes it pays to be an engineer.

Nice, I've also got the audiophile and it's pretty good but this weekend I'm going to do a major overhaul. New speakers all the way around, 10" JL subwoofer and a 300/4 amp for the highs and a 300/2 amp for the sub. I'll hook it all up to a Pioneer CD/MP3 head unit until I save up for the AVIC-F90bt

Sweet! I can't wait to see how it turns out. How fast is the actuator and how much force does it have?

ha ha no, I kinda got caught up in work and my audio build, I will be slower now so I will get back to it. I am thinking about an actuator at which might as well be used as a down control as well.
