Which is the best for...

I am new here and I am looking at buying an F150. Right now I have a Ford Explorer but I really want a truck. I am looking at putting a lift on it, and bigger tires. Which year would be the best for this? I am on a budget so I cant just go out and buy a new one and put a lift on it. I was looking at late 90s models. I am really just looking to gain some knowledge about the truck before I buy it. What is the best way to lift these trucks and about how much of lift will I have to put on to fit about 35" tires? Thanks for any suggestions and help.

Not worth buying a truck and putting all that stuff on. Just find one with everything that you want and get it. In the long run you will save money.

I like the rounded bottom on the pre 2000
With the lift the tires will look moore agreeive.

The is also before the sprkplug prblems started

just don't get the 4.2 or 4.6 l.

Check the water in the radiator. You will be able to jew. Because more than likely it will need one!

Man i'll bet those trucks are dirt cheap today.

Yeah... get a 5.4l V8, 4x4, and a regular cab short wheel base 6' bed.

Trust me... you will be happy... really happy with it.
