Guys, even if we do drill, who is going to refine it?

With no refineries and the ones we have maxed at 100%, we are not only importing oil but refined gas.

We are also importing ULSD b/c we cannot refine enough of it and the cost of it....

Great idea but it won't matter.

Tell your congressman to encourage the Gov to put caps on futures.

 

Three reasons fuel costs so much:

1. American dollar is worth a lot less.
2. Relations with the Middle East not good.
3. Overseas refining.

you cannot possibly believe that if we use crude oil that is already here in this country, that only has to go 1/10th the distance, in a nice Eco friendly pipeline, is going to cost the same as bringing huge diesel burning behemoth tankers halfway across the planet and having some arab dingle berry set our price for us, if we are controling the oil fields we are controling the price.
