No more "flopping" in the NBA

Oh man, Manu and the Spurs are NOT going to be happy about this one!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3416579

The league office has yet to determine exact fine amounts for offending flops and how fines might escalate for repeat offenders, but in-game arena observers and video reviewers will be instructed to report instances of theatrical flopping for potential punishment as part of postgame reports on officiating and other matters

Throwing yourself on the floor when no one touches you to draw a offensive foul. Basically faking a foul to get the ball in your favor.

^^ I think its a Texas thing

And im not the bitchin one I found the link on a California based forum and they were bashing Manu pretty hard. I thought it was funny as hell, but of course it would make you defensive

I like how it also mentions how they were thinking about making rules pertaining to the "hack a shaq". Too bad it wont happen. Cuz exploiting a players weak spot to win is pretty sad.

You'd think they'd start making some three second and traveling calls before worrying about that. Maybe we'd have a chance in International Tourneys if our players were at least required to adhere to the basic rules of the game.

Exploiting a players weak spot sad? YHGTBFK (You have got to be F'ing kidding)

I am a Cowboys fan... What would you say if I said other teams should not throw against Roy Williams cuz he sucks at the passing game. Get a life, and purchase a clue...

When I first read this, I thought they were talking about basketball player's shorts being too long. In which case I wish they would be a stand on that too... it makes them look too trashy...
