pugs are the worlds dumbest dogs
They are dumb... sure.. but they're not the worst. They're very friendly.. and the best around babies.
Dumb
i'm sure pug owners will attack but i just gotta warn others that they have got to be the dumbest dogs going. after owning a german shepherd and a rottweiler my wife said no more big dogs and decided to get a pug. the dog is cute and the kids really lover her but she is basically stupid and impossible to train. after talking to other pug owners they reluctantly admit they have come to the same conclusion.
I agree
people have them because they are cute. i have not been able to figure what purpose they serve or ever served. most dogs were bred and kept for some reason such as herding, hunting, protection etc. best i can figure these dogs exist to eat and pose dressed up for cheesy calendars that they sell in the mall. i think its a chinese conspiracy.

Gotta have my say on this one!!! We have 8 pugs, 6 fawn & 2 black, a rotty & a Chinese Sharpei. We love (in particular) the pugs to pieces and whilst they may not be the easiest dogs to train they are very friendly & affectionate. Ours range in age from 15 to 3 and are all rescue dogs. They are anything but stupid & they very much know words & there meanings (they may not obey em but they know em). They love spagetti, toast & marmalade, we would not be without em!!
I will agree with you 100%. My wife and I spent $500 on a pug about 3 years ago to keep our Corgi company. We tried our best to get that dog trained and after a years time I realized there was no hope and we sold the thing. I would never recommend a pug to anyone. Most worthless dog we have ever owned! So we bought another Corgi which we should have to begin with.
Love this!!!
I don't agree with it being the trainers fault. I have successfully trained several pets over the years and everyone who knows me and my pets know how good I am at training them. I had no luck with the Pug at all and neither did my wife's friend who had one for 3 years before she gave up and sold it. She actually took her pug to a canine training facility and it didn't help much of anything.
It boils down to somebody will defend their pet breed by saying it's the persons fault instead of the dogs. If you do any research on dogs at all you will find that some breeds are highly trainable while others are not worth the food they're fed.
Everyone has a right to their own opinion and this one is mine.
