What's happened to FTW??

I know it was a pretty weak truck site, and while I didn't go there often, I did pop my head in every now and then as does some other members here do too.... I did like how they had local 'chapters' where members would organize 'get togethers' and such... I only made one of them a couple of years ago and it was okay.... I know 'we' have a similar region section here, but I rarely go there..

None of my links for them work anymore, and I couldn't find anything on Google about them... I know they didn't have much traffic, so that's probably what 'killed' them, but it seems like it was one day there were on and the next they were off, with no notice at all?

Just curious is all...

Mitch

about a year ago they re did the site, it had alot more ads on it and people didnt like that so they started to go away from there, to here and truck blog, ftw used to be very active, more active then it is here, but then about 2-3 weeks ago the site went compleatly down and they are compleatly redoing the site about a week ago i heard it should be about a week...so who knows, if you go to www.fordtruckworld.com you can put in your email and get updates on it

but i say screw em and just get f150online to make state chapters instead of the regions here

Thanks for the update guys!! I never even thought of using the actual name of the site.... I think they originally were using that url, then all of that 'ten magizines' stuff.....

Yeah, I got bogged down with all the ads and not much activity..

Thanks again!

If y'all want chapters so bad, why not post in your region and start a chapter?

By chapters they mean sub forums by state not by regions. Only reason i was ever on FTW was for the state subforums.

That's what i'm saying.

Start a post- "_______ Chapter". "Hi, I'm _____. I am staring the ______ chapter for F150online."

I guess thet involves a little work though.
