I knew this guy was was gonna get burned

Todd Davis has dared criminals for two years to try stealing his identity: Ads for his fraud-prevention company, LifeLock, even offer his Social Security number next to his smiling mug....

I think this is hilarious. I'm sure everyone's seen the commercials. With technology now a days, there's no way you're going to stop a determined criminal from stealing your identity.

Here's the full story if you guys want to read it:

I'm with you... I knew he was painting a *huge* target on his back for someone to hack him. Sounds like they pulled it off not only with him but, with a host of his clients...

" LifeLock charges $10 a month to set fraud alerts with credit bureaus, even though consumers can do it themselves for free."

I always thought this guy was a bit insane. He was literally asking for it.

on a related note, years ago, my 5th-grade homeroom teacher recited her ss number to our class just once as part of a memory exercise...after a 5 minute pause, 2 of us still remembered it

i still remember it

yea those guy's can do anything it seems if they want to.

My checking account was blocked one day. Come to find out, someone had used by card at a CVS store in CA and charged up $232 worth of stuff.(probably cold meds.)
And they also racked up $60 at a gas station.

I still had my card. so i had it canceled and got a new card with a new number.

one month later - another $232 charge was made at the same CVS store. How the heck can they do that crap?

It ticks me off becuase I don't think there is any way these guy's can be caught and prosecuted.
