24 Hours

Without a cigarette.

I'm stoked. That's quite a feat for me. I don't even have any major urges.

Everytime I get an urge, I eat a snack or do some breathing exercises. I've also been drinking water all day.

I'll keep yall posted.

I wish you luck. That is one of the most disgusting habits, aside from chewing tobacco.

Yeah.. I've tried before but I never really had the desire to quit. Everyday cigarettes started tasting worse and worse. There was never really a "good" cigarette during the day.

So, I'm done.

That's awesome. Lately I've been thinking about quitting. With cigs @ $5 a pack and before long gas will be $5 per gallon.I can't afford both and I'm not giving up my Budweiser.

Good job man!!!

I just quit 2 weeks ago, the first week is the hardest I'll tell you that, I smoked for nearly 5 years, a pack a day. Then quit cold turkey because It was preventing a recent surgury from healing. I'm so glad i quit man!! The first 3 days i was in a horrible mood, Anything set me off. An everytime i got pissed i looked to that pack an just thought, this can calm me down. Sure it could, but i would wind up in the hospital with internal bleeding again. It was almost worth it man, im not lieing. But now (almost 14 days cigarettes free) i dont even think about smoking. Its hard the first few days to break the habit of having it in your hand and mouth when your driving or when you just eat or something like that. I wish you luck my friend, trust me you'll make it.

I recomendnot drinking beer or coffee during the prosces. They maybe triggers for you.
Keep an eye on the diet, don't trade one crutch for another. Unless your skinny.

Good workouts help also

A hint if you get the urge and start up again.. go see your doctor and get some zyban. Works great. And ask your doctor if it is cheaper for welbutrin. Same thing as zyban, but you may have to tell your doctor your depressed. What ever your insurance takes as cheaper. I did that and still went to the tavern... smoking by others didn't even tempt me. Good luck man.

Thanks for the pointers. I live with my brother, who smokes like a chimney, and even that isn't bothering me. I drink coffee all day long, and drink just about every weekend (I'm a college kid.. sorry.)

I'm really not feeling an urge for anything. I guess my mind is made up.

I'm not going to miss out on the Cubans when I visit Mexico in August though. Haha.

Get some coke and hookers. It'll ease your mind.
