Very first ticket I got was back in the "old" days when "cruisen' the main" was the thing to do. The light turned yellow with me in the intersection and of course I had to get through it so I wound it up and tromp the gas. Left front tire comes off the ground and almost take out the car in front. Cop was parked on the corner watching the whole thing. Just shaking his head as he wrote the ticket. Exhibition of speed. I was 16. The car was a full race Austin Healey 3000. Oops. MUCH older and only slightly wiser now.

I tried to explain and the cop said, well if you had been there it would have been too loud. They picked on me! They would come up to me on a parking lot and tell me to crank it up and rev it to see if it was too loud. I would refuse and wait them out before leaving.

In HS I drove my dad's 67 mgb with open headers for a while. They were open because a pipe rusted out and I hadn't replaced it yet. That was really loud! No ticket though.

Its dirt simple when you want to advance the timing you turn the radio dial to the left if you want to retard the timing every 3 slams of the bonnet is 1deg

Dont forget, if you change your blinder fluid ever 3,000 blinks and all those "NOS" stickers add like 80hp to the front wheels.

3rd was for failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign ($80 i think)
