Printing a 'Secure' PDF File

Anyone know how I can go about printing a 'secure' PDF file?

I've tried exporting this thing to another format (using Adobe 8) and converting it to another PDF type of file but I still can't figure it out.

Before you ask, it's a Yamaha TTR225 manual.

Thanks for the help...

Will it let you copy and paste it to something like word pad and then print it?

Are you linking into it online?

I had an error printing an online PDF a few days ago. So I went back to the previous page and saved the link as HTML format to my desktop. Simply renamed the extension to *.pdf, and voila! I was able to print no problem, might give that a spin.

Although with your secure PDF this suggestion may not be much of a benefit to you.

The problem is that it's about 100 pages long. I don't want to C&P 100 pages... I'm a lazy **** when it comes to copy and paste.

I have, however, started going that route and will work on it little by little... screenshot, crop, paste.

I just remembered... I never started that ING account. Sorry man. I'm horrible when it comes to that type of stuff...

Anyway... no, not trying to link to it but rather print it out to hard copy to put in a binder for placement in a buddy's garage rather than having to refer to the digital copy all the time.

It won't let me 'Save As', 'Export', or 'Merge' with another PDF (thought I could tag another page to it, save it, and then trip the page off and have a usable copy -- no dice).

Thanks for the help, fellas.

There are programs that will crack the encryption on a pdf. Just look on google, there are bunches of them.

No worries, I gave up on that $10 LOOOOOOOOOOOONG ago!

I don't have too much experience with a secure PDF, I figured it was more to prevent alteration to the file itself. Never would have thought you couldn't print it.

Hey Rock, I deal with that kinda crap all the time. Try this:

1 - whatever program you are using, save the secure PDF out as a "regular" PDF. Use dialog menu: File, Save As..., choose PDF option
2 - save it to your desktop, double click the "new" PDF and whatever program opens it, print from it

Basically, you're removing the "secure" protocol and making the PDF usable instead of read-only.

That should work. Hope that helps. Sounds good anyway. - Og

Update...

No luck with any of the recommended tweaks.

I've hunted for something to crack the PDF code (spiritfully now called the Divinci Code) to no avail. Maybe I'm not finding them but, the couple that I downloaded and attempted were abysmal and failed.

BTW, for the record, I'm using Adobe Acrobat Professional (recent version).

Thanks again for the help, fellas. I think he's just going to have to go the screen capture route to make this work. I'm done tinkering with it. LOL!

Thanks again!!!!!!!!
