Drug dealers pick a fight with Army rangers... Soldiers aren't so bad after all...

So, I was talking to an old crusty SSG, and he was telling me about these soldiers in Tacoma WASHINGTON who owned a few drug dealers. I came home and looked it up.. Pretty awesome..

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/hill23.shtml

It happened in 1989...

But to see how much they changed that neighborhood because they stood up for themselves....

Of all people to pick a fight with... I mean I could understand if they were in the navy or marines.. but rangers.. c'mon...

J/K guys..

Well, considering out of all those shots fired, none of them made their mark, I believe that story is indeed true

Damn! 300 shots and no one was killed or wounded... you almost have to try to miss that much.

Cool story none the less.

That was a cheap shot, coming from some who was not only not there, but was not even alive at the time! You have no idea what went on during that time. You couldn't have, the written history has been changed. You should not be so quick to espouse the rantings of the aging "Flower Power" generation at the expense of the patriots who tried and died for the freedoms you enjoy.

There are many who are still suffering the effects, both physical, from the crap that went on over there, and mental, from the massive lack of support and condemnation from their fellow "citizens".

They deserve better than that!

rangers at a bbq...

hell that tells you what happened right there.. i'm no ranger, but i was infantry. you get a group of us together and a bbq pit.. you KNOW they had been drinking. besides, IF they had killed someone, they probably knew THAT would cause a war...

easy there flagship, there are LOTS of vets, both older and younger on here bud...and unfortunately alot of us are already feeling the effects..
