Windows XP SP3?

What's this all about? I'm in no mood for all that reading at this hour. I hadn't heard of it until about 10mins ago when I ran Windows Update.
I'm installing it now. Hopefully I'll be back up and running soon.
Anybody have it yet?
Anything's gotta be better than Vista .

I haven't had any problems with it per say, I just don't care for it. My parents and my brother all bought new computers with Vista and I set them up for them. I hate all the pop-ups and security warnings and crap that come with it. I'm sticking with XP as long as I can (or until they come up with a better Windows OS). I'd hate even more to have to buy a stupid Mac.

XP SP3 includes all previously released updates. This way you have one download rather than 90+ individual updates to download.

There is some new functionality but not anything that is of interest to home users. Unless you are an administrator for an XP network the new functionality is of no interest. Actually, the new functionality has no relevance to me and I work for a company that manages 50+ networks running XP.

It's nothing new. Just every security update blah blah blah rolled into one all inclusive package. You shouldn't see any difference unless you were WAY behind on updates.

Yes. I am a teacher in a school district that must be in love with Apple. Luckily my 35 computer lab is all Dell, and I got a sweet XPS laptop to go along with it.
All I hear all year long is complaints about how crappy the laptops are. The battery sucks, they're always crashing, my screen doesn't work, my CD rom is broken, blah, blah, blah...
I'm so glad I don't have to use one anymore.
Now, I will say that the newer MacBooks are better than the older ones, but not enough to make me want to run out an buy one, especially at a price that I could easily buy 2 PCs for.
Which brings me to another point. Our district is always whining about money (especially recently), but they still continue to pour money into buying expensive to purchase and repair Apple computers.
Rant over.

PS - SP3 is no different than before I had it. Besides taking my computer a ridiculously long time to reboot, I see no changes that would effect me.
