Eight Belles

I hope she is in a better place. This goddamn horse racing has become ridiculous. I can't stand to hear about it anymore b/c almost every year another great one goes down. And for what? So we can get our rocks off watching and betting? Freaking ridiculous fat slob pieces of crap owners and midgets pushing these animals to the limit. I f*ing hate my own kind more and more. Why can't we appreciate things without f*ing with them.

Apparently, the jockey for Eight Belles didn't realize that she had her own pace-down after a race. He let off too quickly, and bam, her ankles gave out slowing to fast. Also, the WSJ ran an article yesterday purporting that almost all the horses that raced today are descendants of one named Native Dancer, who had very bad ankles. With all the stupid breeding that goes on in the sport, it's not shocking (but is very very sad) what happened today. But, since the rich control the sport and spend millions on it each year, it'll be around to stay.

It really bothered me when I was watching the race at the end, that when we found out that the horse was put down, that the greedy jerks who just care about winning a buck, were all cheering while a horse basically gave it's life for everybody's entertainment! This horse did not have a choice by doing this today! In fact, it really pissed me off!...............No wonder why Ultra-rich people **** me off sometimes..............

Legalized or not, gambling leads to nothing but trouble.
