Plugging a truck in is a totally foreign concept to me.

lol I bet! I'm currently working on the JSF F-35 program. I build the forward equipment bay for the forward fuselage. I've worked on the F-22 line and was hired in on the F-16 line.

In the late 60's and early 70's We had the F-102's, F-100's and F-4's. Now they fly F-15's. La. Air Guard 159th. "The Coonass Militia"

When the truck is so cold that it will barely turn over, you plug it in. Picked up my truck from the dealer yesterday from getting the door locks fixed (burned out actuators). Only took 3 hours to get it started, after trying to jump/charge it for 2 hours, then a trip to CostCo to exchange my dead dead dead 4 month old batteries (yes, plural, two 1000CCA batteries) for a set of new ones. Seems one of them had to of been bad. We had two of those super big jump box charger things on the truck set to jump start mode (225 amps each) and it wouldn't even turn over. It barely had enough power to roll my window up as we were pushing it back out of the shop (pushed it in to charge, pushed it out when I went to Costco cause the guys were leaving soon).
