I wouldn't be to worried about the October through March weather. Question is are you ready for Texas Summers? 75 to 80 degrees at night and days up to 105 easily.

Then we have the good ol texas thunderstorms.. It'll be sunny and 100 degrees, then 30 mins later a tornado warning with baseball hail and 20 mins later its 75 and sunny.

 

The 4.6 4v would in theory be more bolt in, as well as considerably cheaper

The 5.0 4v would probably be my current first choice, but would set me back 5-8k

It's dry heat though, right? We get really cold here so it's just the opposite spectrum really. Plus you guys have more AC out there from what I gather.

All depends on what part of the State you're in. Dallas and Houston are very humid. San Antonio and Austin are somewhat less so. El Paso is very arid. Remember -- it's a big State.....

 

Usually farther west the drier it is.. Around here is pretty dry heat but when we make the trip to Dallas area its alot more on the humid side.

 

Dallas is humid in July - August.
Houston is humid April - Sept and very very humid in June - August

 

Trying to find a place that sell's Methanol around here and its a no go.. Half the places i called has no idea what it is. Small town folks need to get with the program.
