They have gotten pretty bad in the neighborhood since there has been so much drilling and home developement around. When I take Maggie walking evernight, not uncommon to see a couple. I watch them closely.

I saw a coyote the other night driving down the feeder by 20 here in Arlington....it was right across from the Bell entrance...I found it odd....I wanted to chase it down!

I see them out where we are occasionally. Back when I played golf at Woodhaven over off I-30, there was one that lived in a wooded area of the course. Would see it a lot. I bet people around there lost some cats and small dogs.

One night my friends dogs were making so much noise we thought it was coyotes or wolves so we both grabbed our rifles and went over to the noise. A skunk got into the livestock pen and was holed up under a pile of old fence posts.

Maggie won't bark at the skunks we see. If the are closer, she will growl and they scurry into a culvert. The only varmints she barks at are the possums that walk down the top of our wooden fence. They will sit there looking at her as she tries to climb the fence, going wild. I go out with a light and knock them off the fence with a pole. You would think tey would learn, but the whole family keeps returning. I guess just to see that dog go nuts. Looks as if the poke in the ribs would hurt, tho.

There used to be a squirrel at my grandmas house that loved to tease my dog. Had to put him on a rope over there since she has no fence at the back, and it would just sit there, just a little farther than my dog could go on the rope.

Yeah, they like to get in our bird feeders, and they hang down and tease Maggie. In 5 years, three have made careless mistakes.

This one learned its lesson, used to run off whenever someone came outside. One day I just didnt put him on the rope didnt catch it but it never came back.
