Wow!!!

IIRC Craig Breedlove was just a tad faster at Bonneville when I was a kid. That kind of speed is just scary fast.

I would imagine its pretty well topped out. Think about how teams setup cars to either run 1/4 or 1/8th mile. They setup gearing, tire diameter and all that to optimize for that distance/speed

or do what I do, skip the sleep and take short naps (I'm certain Jim approves of these multiple naps)

Yep. A 20 minute nap can keep you going.

Well I was first in line at the dealer this morning to get my truck serviced at 36K miles. They will also try the grease fix on the slip yoke to stop the intermittent slam I've been getting every once in awhile. Other then that truck's been running fine....didn't want to stick around so I couldn't be tempted looking at the new ones!

Is it just a bump when you take off, or is it when you just get rolling and let off, it slams into second gear. Usually on a parking lot, etc.

Usually after the truck's been sitting for awhile and I take off from a dead stop and then slow down...feel's like someone running into the bumper at a slow speed. Did it twice this past week...maybe the cooler weather? They have the "new grease" at the dealer and they will try the re-flash on the tranny also. I also asked then to check the U-bolt's and leaf spring's while it was on the rack...I've seen them move somewhat on some truck's in the past. Hope they get it corrected!
