You do not haveanactual PCV valve on the 5.4 3v. it is part of the valve cover all it is, is a restrictor in the baffles. the wires if you have them are a heating element that the computer turns on when it is below like 40 or 50degrees. no need to change it......but if you'd really like to then open yer wallet....

Note.....the 4.6 2v still have them though.....

psssh. nothin! heck it's even cold! you'll warm up and be fine! tell him he needs to come to IA to buy from me!

That's what I thought and why I never worried about it before. I was pokin' around on Rock Auto last night and came across a PCV valve for $12. So I came here and did a search thinking I was wrong and read it was in the valve cover and also read a few posts it was in the intake. I was a little intoxicated though so nothing was very clear
