Hey Budha - looks like I'm going to be in SA next month for 3 or 4 days. Any suggestions on places to go and good restaurants?

What part of SA are you going to be in? There's plenty of good joints around the city. What type of food/places would you been interested in?

From what I can tell (I haven't done much checking yet) it's northwest up on I-10 near Sea World and Fiesta Texas - The Omni at the Colonnade. I will be driving, so I will be able to go wherever I want. I plan on spending some time downtown and on the Riverwalk.

Oh ok, 10 & Wurzbach. Well, you're still a good ways to Sea World and a 10-15 min ride to F.T.. There's plenty of good spots on the riverwalk for drinks and eats. I don't usually head down that way, I hate having to find and pay for parking. Some nice night clubs/pubs/bars. Out where you'll be at, the restaurants are mostly the commercial chain places.

Ok, thanks. Is there anything there that is a "must see/do/go"?

If you have Taco Bueno tell her where those are. That's her favorite place!

I've lived here all my life and with the big small town feel this place has, I find it boring and there's nothing I find is a must.

Taco bueno, there's a few but not sure of any that are close. Hell, we're barely getting a Carl's Jr but McAllen has had one for some time.

ETA: Once you do some researching, lemme know if I can help pick and choose places/things to do/see.

I got sick after eating Taco Bueno about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I haven't touched it since! Very sad too - I loved their muchacos.

Wow - and I thought Longview/Tyler was boring! Thanks Budha - I'll let you know if I have any questions on anything I find.

It's all relative, trust me. SA is NOT boring when you compare it to Longview/Marshall. Longview/Marshall is not boring when you compare it to Tatum!

Really it's not but most of the hip places (as far as restaurants, clubs, hot spots, etc.) are the uppity snobby (read: fake people) type places. I'm more laid back and chill so I usually hit up some smaller bars that have their moments.
