That's what I went to school for and have my degree in.

Now I'm welding thin gauge SS.

 

How thin of SS?

 

I'm working with WinCad, CadCad, SiCam, and Peddimat at the moment. These are the programs I know on the machines I run CNC.

 

I've done as thin as .010

 

Oh wow. That takes some touch.

 

Just went to a college visit the other day and watched some guys CNC.

 

Yeah, and lots of practice. Trust me though, I've made some nasty holes in parts.

Most of the welds I do are autogenous.

 

That's even tougher. I've never welded any stainless near that thin. I liked tigging with filler rod though. It was just fun, and I taught myself how to weld, no school. Basically my job previously before LM I considered a trade school since I learned most everything I do today there, except I don't weld now. Haven't welded in nine years now.

 

And my truck is considered high mileage up here too, my brothers 03 F150 is just getting near the 60,000 mark.

 

 

 

 

Slow getting started this morning. Shouldn't have gone to the late movie last night.

 

I should have just gone to bed earlier.
