I'm scared enough of snakes on the ground. Now I have to look in the air too? This is ridiculous!

If you look close at the last video of the snake, it's bottom was flat and the top part of the body was round, just like some airplanes wing. That creates lift, therefore, able to glide instead of falling straight down. The snake has to be high enough in order to do this. Also, a snake can leap forward to start the process of this if it's high enough. Just like a rattle snake, they can strike at a distance 3/4 of their body length.
